Cost Savings - Innovative Ways to Save Money

BACK 10/02/2009

"In the midst of uncertain economic times. The Kuester Companies is looking at the following innovative ways to save our associations money."

Utility Consumption
Over the next six months through a partnership with an energy consulting group we will be auditing all Water, Electricity, Natural Gas and Trash usage in your community. The consulting group will look for ways to negotiate lower rates with utility and trash providers, bundle services or possible errors in billing.

Telecom
Kuester is working on bundling all telephone, internet and telecom bills to reduce costs as much as 15%.

Landscaping
Pine needles are a major line item in most Association budgets. Whether included as part of the contract or separated out, covering large areas can be expensive. We have partnered with company who will not only install pine needles at a reduced price, but provide an all natural spray product onto the needles to increase their life. This product does two primary things: re-establishes the color and protects the pine needles from UV sunlight which is what fades the color and physically breaks the pine needles down. The cost to spray the pine needles is approximately ½ the cost of installing new needles. Kuester will be overseeing the scheduling of this process.

Property Insurance
Kuester Management Group has partnered with a major regional insurance provider to create a Master Insurance Policy for properties managed by Kuester. As your community's insurance policy comes up for renewal, we will have the ability to bid it against our new insurance program. Thus far, we have been able to save our communities over $150,000 in premiums while in EACH case, increasing coverage.

These are just a few items Kuester Management Group is continuing to explore as ways to help benefit your community and are always seeking other new and innovative ways to facilitate positive and beneficial change to your community. If you have questions about any of these services please contact me or your Community Association Manager and we will be happy to provide additional information.
